Limited Edition Heavyweight A Torn Mind Prints!

In other news, we're going to be having a low-run of super limited edition heavyweight A3 prints made up, featuring brand new artwork and we're looking for anyone who's interested in getting their hands on one to get in touch to register interest, and we'll let you all vote for the design you like the most.

The design with most votes will be printed and available for you to buy online and at shows.

If you fancy a one-off A Torn Mind wall print, and the chance to help choose the design all you have to do is:

  • Email us at info@atornmind.com
  • Message subject: "A3 Poster Print"
  • Say "I want a poster!"

...and we'll be in touch to show you the artwork options
!

Provisionally, we should be able to get these out to you for less than £5 inc. postage (UK), so it's a great chance to get your hands on a quirky piece of A Torn Mind merch and to help us choose which design gets pressed too! More firm details on price etc soon!

Cheers!

The End of a Busy Week!

Hey!

It's been a busy old week in the A Torn Mind camp!

First:
Three quarters of us kicked the week off with a huge performance at Edinburgh's Usher Hall, with none other than original Deep Purple keyboard player John Lord - performing his "Concerto for Group and Orchestra".

The guys had a great time and played to a massive crowd. The concert has recieve glowing praise in the local press and the A Torn Mind contingent had a good night, rocking out with a musical legend!!!

Second:
We recieved the master tracks from "Barriers" back from the mastering company to listen to this week. We're extremely happy with how it's sounding and can't wait to let everyone hear it. It's been really hard work, but we're nearly at the finish line. We should get the final red book master disc back very shortly.

Third:
We played our first Edinburgh show in a couple of months at Cabaret Voltaire on Friday evening. The show was good and we had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came down and caught us live. We had a whole bunch of photos taken so I'll post a link up to them when they're all up on the various A Torn Mind sites.

Fourth:
We've just confirmed a show in Glasgow at PIVO PIVO on Waterloo Street. This show is part of the venue's genre-specific run of gigs which are going under the heading, "Shut Up And Eat Your Music".

The show we're playing has been given the glorious title of, "Shut Up And Eat Your... Prog!". Imagine our delight when we saw that!

Details are as follows:

Thursday 5th November
Pivo Pivo

A Torn Mind
Eightball
Assume The Form

Doors 8pm / Entry £3

Hope to see some familiar faces for this show - It looks to be a real belter!!!

A Torn Mind

Our new stickers arrived in the post today!

Thoroughly chuffed with them! Next up is the new batch of shirts with some different colours and stuff. We'll also be getting in some girls skinny style shirts too, which will be cool.

"Barriers" is nearly finished. Chris and Grant informed Ryan and I that they've pretty much 100% finished 2 of 5 tracks now. We've been having a bit of a chat about the mastering and such and there's a few pretty exciting ideas buzzing about.

I'll be back in with Grant tomorrow to do a big shift on the remaining tunes - I'll post another blog with the outcome of that.

That's all for now!
